Jim has over 25 years of experience in the plastic and medical device industry.
He managed the R&D Engineering Department of one of the largest Fortune 500 medical companies in the world. In 2001, Jim began his own engineering recruiting firm known as Engineering Resource Group, LLC. The company did so well as an independent, Jim felt by joining the world’s largest recruiting company, his business opportunities could only multiply and so MRI Coastal Group was formed in 2004.

Understanding the plastic, medical device, engineering, tooling and overall market structure, ensures the ability to be selective when choosing the right candidates for clients.

Therefore, Jim’s many years in engineering and management roles has provided him the ability to be selective through screening and performing in-depth technical dialogues when determining a good fit between the client and candidate.

He looks for strengths and accomplishments that can benefit his client’s business plan while furthering the growth of both parties.

He recruits Senior Executives, Managers, R&D, Engineering, Product/Project Management and Quality Professionals in the Medical Device Industry throughout the United States.


Linda Braunhardt - CSAM

Linda began her career in plastics over 25 years ago in various Sales Engineering, Marketing and Management positions for some very lucrative and well known Injection Molders in the New England area. She joined Management Recruiters in 2003 not to start a new career but to use her many years of technical experience and connections to further the growth of the plastics industry. In 2006 she received her certification as Sr. Account Manager or CSAM.

With the broad range of plastic use, she works across the board in custom and proprietary molding and mold making as well as specific markets like medical device, pharmaceutical, packaging and consumer product manufacturing.
All positions are treated with equal dedication and commitment from
Process Technicians and Engineering up through Directors and CEOs.


She believes in providing quality and not quantity. Therefore based on her understanding of the industry and her customer’s requirements, she is able
to limit the number of submissions while assuring the best value for both the candidate and client.


Linda’s goal has always been to develop a long standing partnership and friendship with her customers and candidates. Therefore no job is too small or
too large and challenges are welcomed at any time.


Jeff Gampel - Manager

Over the past 22 years Jeff’s career in executive search has included roles as VP, Managing Director and Senior Business Development Executive. Jeff is a recognized search consultant who has successfully completed assignments in a number of business sectors including manufacturing, e-commerce, software, high tech, consumer products and retail services. He has recruited for well known companies such as EMC, Revlon, Melissa & Doug, Inc.,Taubman, Warnaco, Execunet, BJ's, Sym's, Carters, Philip Morris, as well as numerous manufacturing facilities. His searches have included the functional areas of sales/marketing, operations management, engineering, finance, general management and human resources. Jeff is married with two grown children and holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven.

John Tovey - Account Executive

John has joined MRI Coastal Group as an account executive in the medical device field. He has worked in that area since 1981 when he left England to join US Surgical in Norwalk, CT. where he eventually became Senior Director Non-staple Products (largely laparoscopic devices).

Subsequently he became VP of R and D for Cardio Technologies Inc. followed by general consultancy work for clients as large as Bard and as small as many start-up companies. As a result he has innumerable contacts in the industry which he now hopes to put to good effect.

Stephanie DiMaggio - Project Coordinator

Steph has worked for lucrative companies, and accomplished producing outstanding recruiting results for them from start to finish. She professionally communicated with our clients and candidates regarding job orders and placement or any questions they may have.

Having worked in the financial industry, as a Recruiting Specialist she accomplished and exceeded her goals of building data bases of candidates, interviewing quality individuals, implement changes, and improving the hiring and recruiting process.

She is a highly motivated and goal oriented individual with a strong work ethic. She thrives on working hard and getting deals done. She also utilized her execeptional sales experience as an account executive to motivate individuals, communicate and manage presented projects.

She has the ability to direct and manage complex projects from concept to fully operational status. With her experience in the recruiting world she can successfully refine and implement new projects.

She is an organized, highly motivated, and detail-directed project coordinator and focuses on direct recruitment and retention of clients and candidates placement needs efficiently.

It’s important to her to produce quality results in the recruiting process not quantity. Networking, marketing, and consultative solution recruiting, is all part of the ongoing building of relationships and client development that she takes seriously.

Her goal at MRI, which is a team oriented atmosphere, is to over achieve any goals that may set as a team or individually.
